Ares Striker AS01 - Be the AWP guy in cs go!!!!!

Today I went sniping with my brand new $200 spring rifle. There hasn’t been a rifle I had been more excited to shoot. Let’s go through what you might expect from this rifle. I have seen YouTube videos of people slaying with the as02 version, quick scope, 360 backflip no scope with a cigar in their mouth and a rainbow shooting from their ass. Well that was not my experience. Price point, what did I pay extra for? It racks smooth, Jams not super often, your team will point out tangos way down range thinking your are an asset to the team, not realizing a melee kill with a pool noodle is more likely. With every shot I took my value to my green arm banded comrades sunk lower and lower.

Here is some shit I thought while using this stallion of firearms.

• The mag is a pain in the ass, sometimes it just sprays the whole clip in your face,  very cool looks you will get from your teammates because your about as worthless as a flat tire. Your speed loader will fill it like shit, so buy extra mags.
• chrono was at 415 with 20g ammo, so is my semi auto DMR. The fuck….
  
• I got a lot of compliments on the rifle, perhaps they felt bad knowing how fucked I was for the upcoming round, or had the same stupid dream of being a sniper.
• I felt useless, at one point pulling out and using my pistol. At long range. I got a kill
• I threw some 43g bbs in there. Range about 100 feet sinks hard
  
• Hop up with that weight doesn’t do dick. Perhaps my bucking was fucked from the factory, that’s nice I could have bout a wells for $100.
• Bucking was installed incorrectly from the factory, nothing like tearing apart something brand new. For those who have your BB roll out of the barrel when you rack it, pull your new gun apart and it’s the hardest thing to get to. After you almost break your weapon and get all the screws back in the hop up doesn’t do shit. Because it’s a hex that pushes a piece of rubber 
• I will replace the “hop up” because it’s a sniper and needs to backspin the heaviest shit I can find.
• I will say you don’t need a engineering degree to work on it, and that’s good because this thing needs parts,
• The action is smooth for now, others have had problems
• Will this rifle explode when I put the raddest spring I can find in there?
  

If you thing your gonna shit on dudes with this thing stock, think again. This gun needs a lot of pretty parts to make it effective. I have a DMR style m4, and love sniping with it. But where is the nostalgia of getting a face hit with a bolt action?!  If your looking for a sniper to upgrade, this might be cool. I really need to be seeing FPS above 500 before I strand myself with this weapon again. It seems pretty upgradable ( I’ll hams myself with my sling if not)  so at least there is that. Oh and don’t bother laying on the ground with the bipod, the enemy does see you, absolutely clapped me before my fat ass could roll back into cover, dragging all my shit in the dirt and popping my hydration pack… sigh must have been a fucking sight indeed. And here I thought I would turn into a fucking patch of grass, not even Bigfoot would fucking see me, behind enemy lines getting one rad kill after another Tbagging dudes as they recover from my 80g to the face headshots. Nope I looked like a fat fucker with a single shot high magnification scope rife that shot 150 feet not very well. I was absolutely out of my mind to use this at a normal, larger field with an urban layout. 

To wrap up. If your field in not in the woods, and you can’t turn into a plant or hide under a fucking log, this thing is useless. Try a cheap sniper, when you get absolutely destroyed you won’t feel as bad.

When all the videos and guy at the airsoft shop warn you that it’s not what you think, they are right. My team got hammered, I felt fucking useless.like I said I do think it will be cool once parts are replaced and it is dialed 100%, out of the box you will be an unplugged toaster at any kind of urban field.
