Hey fellow airsofters!
As we know, the airsoft community is full of folks looking for, or attempting to start, an airsoft team. This can be challenging, however, it's extremely rewarding once you find "the group" that you were looking for! So let's go over some of the things you can do to build your airsoft team.
1. Just playing
What does that even mean? Well, I'll tell you. As one of two founders of a proud team of about 20 members, I can tell you that the majority of your members will come from going to your local field, and "just playing". You'll make friends, and those friends become potential team members who you know, and trust.
2. Social media
You probably saw this one coming. Social media is quite likely the fastest, and easiest way to advertise you team, FOR FREE. Starting a YouTube channel, a Instagram, Twitter, or whatever platform you prefer, will really boost your growth. However, make sure you specify where you are located. Whether that be in a post, or in your profile.
3. Have a co-founder
You may be thinking, "why would I want a co-founder?". Here's why. When you're trying to decide whether you should "go to this event" or "buy this equipment for the team". It's always great to have a second opinion for those decisions. However, having a BAD co-founder can result in bad decisions, bad leadership etc. Make sure you know, and trust your co-founder.
4. Relationship with your team
When you have a team like ours, that is built with a chain of command, it is critical that your members trust, and respect you. This can be done by always coming on time, not forgetting to bring that thing you said you where going to bring, always listening to peoples ideas for the team or team systems no matter how dumb they sound, and always being welcoming of correction, and feedback.
Am I missing anything? What did I get wrong? Time to destroy your keyboards in the comment section again y'all. Stay fierce out there!
