On AirsoftC3 "Accounts" refers to our Advocate, Field, Shop, Retailer, Organizer and Player pages. As with other social networks, your individual, or Player, page is your primary account and the others are attached to it. This is because you may be the owner, or admin, of many other accounts and by attaching them to your player account you can login once and manage them all from your dashboard.

This stands for Army Combat Uniform and is a type of camo often used for Airsoft. The ACU is a cut of uniform that can have many camo patterns.

An “Admin” on AirsoftC3 is anyone that has privileges to add/remove content, change settings and manage a listing’s page. If you create a listing you are automatically an admin and listed as the ‘Owner’ and can assign ‘Admin’ privileges to any member of your Team, Field, Shop. Advocate, Organizer or Retailer page.

An Airsoft "Advocate" is anyone that spends their time sharing news, articles, reviews and any other Airsoft related information with the community. Advocates can be an individual person, a local message board or even a dedicated company. AirsoftC3 lists all of the Advocates across the country providing them visibility to increase their reach as well as tools help them create, attend and manage events.

AEG stands for Airsoft Electric Gun. This means that the BBs expelled, or shot, out of your Airsoft Replica does so by the use of an electrical system. A battery driving an electric motor spins gears in a gearbox, to make a piston reciprocate back and forth against a spring that forces air through a nozzle against the BB and pushes it out of the barrel.

Airsoft is an activity where players will engage their opponents by shooting round non-metallic pellets, or BBs at each other using a replica firearm typically called an Airsoft Gun. The player stuck by the projectile, or “Hit”, will be considered out and they have the opportunity to reenter the game at a later time based on the rules of the specific game they are playing.

“AK” or “AK-47” or “Kalashnikov” stand for a distinctive Russian style firearm that many Airsoft replicas are modeled after.

Alerts are a mechanism built into the AirsoftC3 dashboard for sending community updates, calls to action and other important information.

An Ambassador is an Advocate or Team that have been chosen to represent AirsoftC3 on the field and in the Airsoft community. They have been tasked to help bring the community closer together, shine a light on the positive play and help spread the word about what AirsoftC3 is trying to accomplish.

An Announcement is a dashboard mechanism that an AirsoftC3 premiere partner can send out to share about a sale, new product, new service or anything they feel the Airsoft community might find useful as it relates to their business. Announcements can also be found on each premiere partners dedicated AirsoftC3 page.

ANSI is an acronym that stands for American Nation Standards Institute, an organization created in 1918 to develop safety standards. The “ANSI Rating” in Airsoft refers to any type of goggles and eye protection that conform to the ANSI-Z87 rating that players need to use while playing.

A common issue facing Airsoft players is when their goggles or masks “Fog Up” with condensation and make it hard to see while playing. This can be dangerous as your first instinct is to remove your goggles to wipe them clean… which then exposes your eyes to the risk of being struck by a BB during gameplay. There are many Anti Fog products that you can apply to your lenses that will help prevent fogging while out on the Airsoft field.

Archive means to store something, or put it away. On AirsoftC3 you can archive conversations and Alerts. With a conversation you can remove a message thread by clicking on the archive button. Archived conversations move to the archive tab and if any new activity takes place in that thread you will still be notified. To archive an alert, click on the “x” on the right side of the Alert. To view archived alerts click on the “Show Archived” button at the top of the Alerts panel.

Is an icon, image or logo that represents a Player on AirsoftC3. Avatars are displayed in the top menu bar for your account(s) or in any messages you post. They are chosen during your account setup or in your player dashboard by clicking on the smaller image window offset from your main profile image.

This refers to a common practice on the Airsoft field when players are closer than the minimum engagements distance instead of shooting the other player they will yell “Bang” or “Surrender”. Make sure to check with the field owner or event organizer what the specific rules are for engagement distances so you are aware before game time.

This is the long cylindrical tube running the length of your Airsoft Replica. What you see on the outside of your gun is called the Outer Barrel and it is intended to match the look of a specific firearm. There is also an Inner Barrel that is what is actually used to propel the BB out of your gun.

A “Barrel Cover” is a safety device that is used to prevent BBs being accidentally shot out of your gun. It's usually made out of a heavy material and looks a bit like a sock. You place it over the barrel of your gun and there are often strings attached that can be used to secure it to your gun. Barrel Covers are required on a lot of Airsoft fields and events.

A "Battery" is a device that stores the power to operate your electric gun. There are many types of batteries available for use with Airsoft replicas from discharge rate and chemistry to connector type and physical dimensions. It’s important that you do the research to ensure you get the right battery for the gun you purchase. Equally important is the charger so that you can reuse your batteries safely.

“BBs” are 6mm round, plastic (or biodegradable) projectiles that are shot out of your Airsoft replica. The name BB is came from the size designation used for shotgun ammunition… There was B, BB and BBB and people found that BB sized pellets were the best size for their guns and the term stuck. It's important to note that you never want to use a metal BB in your Airsoft replica, not only is it extremely dangerous to other players, but it will quickly ruin your gun’s barrel, hopup and other internal parts.

This stands for Battle Dress Uniform and is a type of camo often used for Airsoft. The BDU is a cut of uniform that can have many camo patterns.

The “Bevel Gear” is one of the 3 primary gears that work together in an AEG Gearbox. Its is the gear that is directly connected to the electric motor.

“Bio BBs”, or biodegradable BBs are made of an organic material, often based on corn, that are designed to breakdown overtime when left outside in the elements. Most outdoor Airsoft fields require that you use Bio BBs these days. Bio BBs tend to cost more than standard plastic BBs but not by much. When using Bio BBs make sure you clean your barrel as they tend to leave a residue over time that can cause your gun to jam more often that with plastic BBs.

A “Bipod” is a device with 2 small legs that can be attached to the end of your Airsoft replica. When the legs are extended it allows you to more easily lay prone on the ground and shoot your rifle accurately by keeping the end of the barrel raised of the ground a fixed amount.

“Blind Fire” is a term used to describe when a player shoots their Airsoft replica but can not see what they are shooting at. This often means lifting the gun above their head, or around a corner and firing without looking. Most fields do not allow blind firing, requiring that you need to be looking down the length of your gun when shooting at other players.

“Blind Man” is a term used in an emergency during an Airsoft game. If someone is physically hurt and you witness a dangerous situation players yell out Blind Man as loud as they can. When you hear this you should remove your magazine from your rifle, stay where you are and begin yelling Blind Man as well. The goal is to get the message to the staff of the event so they can find, evaluate and treat the injured person. Once things are resolved the staff will let player know when it’s safe to continue the game.

The “Bolt” of a real firearm is the mechanism that makes contact with the ammunition to make it actually fire. Airsoft replicas use bolts for gas blowback and bolt action rifles to shoot BBs but do not work in the same mechanical way as a real firearm’s bolt. It’s important to understand that even with a similar sounding element, the bolt, an Airsoft replica can not shoot real firearm ammunition.

The Boonie is a wide brimmed, circular hat, that was used commonly by US and Australian forces during the Vietnam war. It helps with all around sun and was designed to allow for local vegetation to be attached to it making it easier for a soldier to blend into their environment. Its other nickname is Giggle Hat.

“Breach” or “To Breach” is a term used to describe the action of moving tactically into a new area to secure it from the enemy. In Airsoft it’s typically used when bursting into a room in a CQB setting.

At the beginning of any event the organizer will typically gather all the players together and go over the rules for the event. Depending on the complexity of the event or the number of players there may be a briefing between engagements or at specified times during the day.

The Bucking is a small rubber, or plastic, sleeve used in your Hopup that covers the base of your inner barrel on the inside of your Airsoft replica. It is what makes contact with your BB as it shoots out of your gun to give it back spin for range and stability. A quality bucking can make a big difference in your shooting accuracy.

The "Buffer Tube" is the small cylinder that is connected to the back an M4 style Airsoft replica’s receiver and what the stock attaches to. In a real firearm this is where the bolt will move back and forth to mitigate recoil… in an electric Airsoft rifle this tends to be where wiring and electronics are stored.

The "Bump Helmet" is a low profile safety helmet designed for military and police use. This style of helmet can be both for military and police training as well as offer ballistic protection and a platform to attach night vision goggles, cameras and other accessories. These special forces type helmets are extremely popular with the Airsoft community.

“Burst Fire” is a mode available on some Airsoft replicas to enable 3 to 5 BBs to be shot with a single trigger pull. This can be helpful for to conserve ammunition as well as allow you to shoot more rounds down range at fields and/or events that do not allow full auto operation. Burst Fire can be enabled in both AEGs as well as GBB rifles, thought by different means internally.

The “Butt Stock” of your Airsoft replica is the part at the rear that you hold against your shoulder when firing. It can also be called simply Stock or Shoulder Stock.

“Cam” is a nickname for Camera. There are many types of cameras that are compact enough to be attached to your kit and/or helmet allowing you to record your Airsoft gameplay.

Camo is the nickname for any kind of camouflage clothing used to make someone blend into his/her environment. There are many types of camo patterns that were created for each branch of the military as well as every possible environment. There is no wrong choice for Airsofting just be aware of where you intend to play and that the style of your camo can dictate which teams/faction you play with on gameday.

“Carbine” stands for a more compact rifle system that will often use less powerful ammunition for lighter more mobile operation than its larger variants. In the Airsoft world carbine refers to the look and size of a replica but has no bearing on accuracy or range typically.

There are many uses for the word “Cartidge” but one of the most common with Airsoft is either to describe a Magazine or a CO2 cylinder.

A “Charger” is a device used to add power back to batteries that have been drained of charge. When buying a charger for Airsoft batteries make sure you have the right set of features for the type of batteries you own. The two big issues are the connector type and how many cells your battery has. The connector type can vary quite a bit though the most common are Tamiyama and Deens these days. If your battery has more than one cell, which is often the case, make sure that your charge supports balanced charging so all the cells are charged evenly.

The Charging Handle is what is used on a real firearm to set your bolt back, often called cocking, into starting position so that your fire can begin firing. Airsoft replicas also have Charging handles but depending on the rifle type do different things. With an AEG the charging handle is often used to expose your hopup controls but does not serve any purpose in shooting your gun. With Gas Blowback rifles the charging handle is required before firing can begin, just like a real firearm.

At any Airsoft field or event you will need to “Check In” with the staff to pay for your participation (or verify payment), get any materials needed, sign waivers and receive any other important information before you begin your day.

“Chrono” is is short for the term chronograph which is a device used to check the velocity of BBs leaving the barrel of your Airsoft replica. The term will often describe a location on the Airsoft field where the testing is done “Go over to chrono after registration” or as an action “Go get your gun chrono’d before you head to briefing”. All Airsoft fields and events should be chronoing guns to ensure that everyone playing is doing so safely so make sure you ask how they check players guns for safety.

A “Claymore” is directional antipersonnel mine. The Airsoft version looks like the real world version, typically a small flat square / rectangle with the words “Point Toward Enemy” imprinted on one side. The mine can be triggered either by a trip wire or remotely with a wireless transmitter of some sort. The Airsoft version will then pop open and fling 100 or so BBs at players.

A Cleaning Rod is a tool designed to help remove dirt and grime that builds up in your inner barrel after playing. They are used in conjunction with small pieces of cloth called cleaning pads and a cleaning solution. Most new Airsoft replicas will come with a cleaning rod and the materials you need to use it but you can also pick them up at your local Shop and with a Retailer.

A “Clip” is a term used to describe a small metal band that attaches a series of exposed ammunition together, making it easier to load into older rifle systems. BE AWARE that the term “Clip” is often used incorrectly used to describe a “Magazine”, save yourself from getting heat on the field by remembering that there are no Airsoft Clips, only magazines by the nature of how BBs need to be loaded into an Airsoft replica.

“CO2” is carbon dioxide to be technical, and in the Airsoft context means the use of a small metal cylinder filled with compressed gas to fire BBs out of a gun. There are CO2 powered pistols, rifles, grenades and other devices. Be aware that CO2 powered guns can at times shoot “hot”, a term that refers to how fast the BBs leave your gun. Take the time get your CO2 powered pistols and/or rifles checked before playing to ensure you are playing safely.

AirsoftC3 now supports the ability for players to leave comments about Events in the system. To write a comment you need to have a player account and be logged in. Then find an event you are interested in and click on the “comments” link or open the event and go to the Comments tab. All of your comments are stored as conversations that are available in your dashboard in the Conversations Tab.

A “Conversation” on AirsoftC3 is a series of comments between players about an event. You can leave comments on any event by clicking on the comments link on the event listing or in the comments tab within the event itself. You can access all your conversations by going to your dashboard and selecting the Conversations Tab.

"CQB" stands for Close Quarters Combat which describes when players are competing in small spaces and/or at close range. You will sometimes see Airsoft replicas described as CQB versions or good for CQB which means either its size of the replica or how fast BBs are shot out them. Most fields or events have specific rules for CQB that cover both the guns and the tactics.

The AirsoftC3 “Dashboard” is the central location for you view content, find games, connect with the community and manage your accounts.

A “Dead Rag” is a piece of brightly colored cloth, usually red and about 12 inches square that a player used to show that they have been “Hit”. It is displayed either in their raised hand or attached to their head / vest while walking off the field and back to the Spawn Point. The helps prevent being shot again once you have been hit and also helps the other team focus on the players that are still in the active fight.

“Deans” refers to a type of battery connector that is used to allow more electricity to flow more evenly from a battery to the motor in your AEG. It also can handle more voltage than standard connectors because of the increased surface area on the metal contacts.

The “Discharge Rate” refers to the amount of power that can be drawn from a battery at a time. You will see this written as “20C” or “15C” typically on Airsoft batteries. Its VERY important that you do not use a batter with a discharge rate that is higher than your AEG can handle, so when buying a batter make sure you know what is compatible with your gun.

A “DMR” stands for Designated Marksman Rifle which is an accurized, semi automatic rifle designed to bridge the gap between the roles of snipers and riflemen. DMRs typically have higher a FPS so make sure that it’s legal to use at any field / event you attend.

A “Drum Mag” is a magazine designed to hold a large quantity of BBs and is typically automatically wound. There are many different types of drum mags that match the real word equivalents, but be aware that some fields and games have specific restrictions for their use.

A “Dummy Grenade” is an object or device that is used to represent a grenade but does not make any noise, or expel any BBs. There are grenade shaped toys that are used as well as things like tennis balls, etc… Check with the Field/Event you are attending to see what their grenade rules are to see if they are allowed and if so what the specific usage rules are.

A “Dump Bag” is a pouch that is typically connected to your belt or the bottom of a vest that allows you to easily store spent magazines and other items while out on the field playing.

The term “Elimination” typically refers to a type of traditional shooting sport game where multiple teams will engage each other until there there is only one player still active.

The “Engagement Distance” is the range in which you are allowed to shoot at another player. This range is usually determined by the type and power of a Airsoft Replica. Pistols have the closest engagement distance, sniper rifles have the farthest. Every event / field has different engagement distances so check their rules before attending to know how to safely use your Airsoft gun during a game. As a side note, Parents be mindful if a field/event has “Zero Engagement” or “No Surrender” rules. This means that players can shoot each other at point blank range, and while not dangerous, the shots can hurt a lot more.

An Event is an activity that is allows players to gather and participate in the sport of Airsoft. Events can be Games where players compete against each other or Gatherings where players come together for an Airsoft specific purpose other than to actually play. AirsoftC3 lists all the Events from all across the country providing a world class way for the Airsoft community to not only find individual listings but also specific games and get togethers.

“Exfil” is the short version of the military term ‘exfiltration’ which means the extraction or removal of military personnel from the combat zone, usually in clandestine operations. In Airsoft, it’s often used as a term to end a game scenario. “Once you have completed your objective make your way to the exfil location to end the game”

“Eye Pro is short for ‘Eye Protection’ and is one of the most important safety considerations anyone should have while playing Airsoft. Eye Pro can be goggles, masks or any other type of eye protection that is ANSI rated and provides a full seal around your eyes to prevent BBs from damaging your eyes.

“Facilities” on AirsoftC3 means if a Field / Event provides bathrooms, tables/chairs and/or vending machines.

A “Fast Mag” is an Airsoft magazine with a mechanism that allows for quicker winding so the player does not need to wind as much, or at all, during gameplay. Typically Fast Mags are wound using a pull string or retractable cable of some kind attached at the bottom of the magazine.

An Airsoft Field is a dedicated facility, indoor, outdoor or a mix of both that allows Airsoft games to be played legally. Fields can be public or private depending on how the Field is operated. AirsoftC3 lists all of the Fields across the country providing them visibility as well as a full featured event system and new information options to help new players discover more of what they have to offer.

In some cases a Field or Event will require that you only use BBs that you purchase from them when participating. This does not happen very often overall, but it does happen, especially if you intend to rent an Airsoft replica. Make sure to check the rules for the field/event you are attending so you know if you can bring your own BBs or not.

The “Finder” is AirsoftC3’s map and discovery tool that helps you discover all the Airsoft resources across the country and near you. It has a series of tools and functionally to make it easy to refine your search, compare listings and even see what events are upcoming.

“Fire” means to shoot your Airsoft replica, hopefully at your opponents. Simple eh? :)

The “Flash Hider”, or flash suppressor, refers to the slotted cylindrical piece attached the end of the barrel of your Airsoft Replica. In a real firearm these are used to minimize the bright flash that appears at the end the rifle after firing a bullet. In Airsoft, a flash hider serves no practical purpose, other than to make your replica more realistic. There are many types of flash hiders and player will often use them to customize the look of their Airsoft guns.

The term “Force on Force” typically refers to a type of traditional shooting sport game where multiple teams will engage each other with no other rules or objectives.

“FPS” stands for ‘Feet Per Second’ which is how the speed of a BB being expelled from an Airsoft Replica is measured. This measurement determines when and where you are allowed to use a specific type of Airsoft replica at a Field and/or Event. In most cases your Airsoft gun will be chronoed (measured) using a standard BBs weight, normally .02 grams, before you will be allowed to play. So make sure you know what the FPS rating of your gun is and the FPS rules at the field/event you are attending are.

“Friendly Fire” is that unfortunate occurrence where your own teammates shoot you while playing Airsoft. In most cases it is treated it as in the real world and it counts as a ‘Hit’ forcing you to respawn and reenter the game. Should be called ‘Unfriendly Fire’ ;)

“FRS” stands for ‘Family Radio Service’ and is a walkie talkie radio standard that the majority of consumer level radios use for communication. There are other communication standards available but for Airsoft it's a good idea to start with a “FRS” compatible radio as most players use radios that comply with this standard.

This means that your safety goggles or mask have foam or plastic surrounding the lenses that press up against your face in a way that there are no gaps between them and your face. This prevents BBs coming from the side or ricocheting on the inside of the lens from striking your eye. “Full Seal” eye protection is commonly a requirement to participate at most Airsoft fields and/or events.

A “Game” is a type of AirsoftC3 event where people engage in the activity of shooting at each other with Airsoft replicas. These events can represent everything for a large scale, national milsim event to a small skirmish at a local field.

“Gas Blow Back” or ‘GBB’ describes a type of Airsoft replica that shoots BBs by releasing a gas, typically a propane variant, that causes an action inside the gun to react, or kick back, as the BBs is propelled forward. This action happens to a sliding piece inside rifles called a ‘bolt’ and on a top of a pistol called a ‘slide’. Players like this because if gives an Airsoft replica a small amount of recoil as compared to an AEG adding to more realism during game play. Unfortunately GBB rifles tend to be less popular, as even though they are more realistic, AEGs can hold 10-20 times more BBs in their magazines and are less expensive to operate. GBB pistols on the other hand are by far the most popular type of pistol.

A “Gathering” is a type of AirsoftC3 event where people get together to participate in an Airsoft related in the activity that does not include shooting at each other with Airsoft replicas. These events can represent a local swap meet, a team BBQ or something as large as Airsoft related convention.

A “Gear Box” is the mechanism that makes an AEG work. It’s comprised of several gears and a piston. The gears take power from an electric motor to drive the pneumatic piston, which cycles back and forth, to push air through a barrel and propel BBs out of the gun.

A “Ghillie” or ‘Ghillie Suit’ is a type of complex camouflage clothing typically used by snipers to blend into their environment. The term 'Ghillie' was coined in the first world war by Scottish troops in reference to Ghillie Dhu, a male faerie that was clothed in leaves and moss. You can purchase ready made Ghillie suits or buy them ‘clean’ so you can build it out to match your local environment.

Airsofting can be hard on your hands, either when being shot with BBs or just traveling through a rough environment. It’s a good idea, though not essential, to wear protective “gloves” while playing.

Eye protection is the most important factor in playing Airsoft safely. There are many types of goggles you can wear, from small almost sunglasses type, to larger military spec goggles and full face paintball style masks. The key is that they are ‘Full Seal’ so they wrap around the edges and that they are ‘ANSI’ rated. Make sure that you always wear the proper eye protection when you play Airsoft.

When creating an Event on AirsoftC3 you have two registration options “As Going” or ‘As Interested’. Selecting ‘As Going’ presents members with the options Going, Maybe or No. Selecting ‘Going’ indicates they plan attend the event, ‘Maybe’ that they are considering attending and ‘No’ that they are not going to attend. If a player is the Admin or Owner of any listing on AirsoftC3 they can also make this selection for them so that their Team, Field, Shop will show up as attending the event as well.

“Green Gas” is a special blend of propane designed to power Gas Blow Back pistols and rifles. While you can use straight propane, Green Gas ensures the right pressure and lubrication is being used to protect your gear.

A “Grenade” in Airsoft is a handheld, area of effect, device that you throw at other players. It will make a loud exploding sound, omnidirectionally expel BBs or both. A ThunderB is a CO2 powered grenade that make a loud sound but does not expel BBs. A Tornado is Green Gas powered and it will expel BBs in all directions but does not make a loud sound. Taggin or Pea grenades are pyrotechnic grenades that make both a loud sound and expel BBs. Make sure to check for any grenade rules and/or restrictions at the field or event you plan to attend.

A “Grip” typically refers to the section of your Airsoft replica where you hold and pull the trigger. There are many ‘grips’ available to attach to your Airsoft gun however, fore grips, well grips, etc… They are optional accessories that many Airsofters use to customize how they hold and aim their rifles.

A “Gun” refers to a firearm that your Airsoft replica resembles. This Airsoft ‘Gun’ is then what you use to shoot BBs at your opponents. This is fairly obvious we know, but the point we want to drive home is to treat your Airsoft ‘Gun’ with the proper respect… store and transport it just like you would a real ‘gun’ so that you do not endanger yourself or others.

A “Gun Hit” is when you are playing Airsoft and a BB strikes your Airsoft replica. Depending on the rules at the field or event you are participating in, you may have to consider yourself ‘Hit’ as well. Be sure to check the rules so you understand the rules of engagement before you begin play.

A “Gun Tech” is a person or company that is proficient at repairing and or upgrading an Airsoft replica. Most local Shops offer repair and upgrade services as well as some fields will have ‘Gun Tech’ services available.

Besides being a tasty treat, the “Hamburger” is the icon on the top left of AirsoftC3. When clicked it will open the side menu for easy access to all the sections of the site. You may also see this icon in other places on the site, if clicked will always expand to show a menu of some kind.

A “Helmet” is a safety device that is worn on your head to protect it from injury and being struck with BBs. There are many different types of helmets out there, the most popular within the Airsoft community is the Bump Helmet which is a lower profile helmet that makes it easy to attach accessories.

The term “HiCap” is short for ‘High Capacity’ and refers to an AEG magazine that holds more than 100-150 BBs at a time. Typically these magazines hold between 300-500 BBs and will be need to be ‘wound’ by either by a winding gear, a pull string or even by battery.

A “Hit” is when you are struck by a BB. This means that you are ‘dead’ and need to head back to respawn to re enter the game. You can also be ‘Hit’ by grenades or other area of effect weapons… you can even be inside a structure that is ‘Hit’ by a simulated missile strike causing your to be ‘Hit’ and requiring you to head back to spawn.

A “Holographic Sight” is a type of optical site that provides a reticle that uses a parabolic mirror to remain locked on your target even if you move your head in comparison to your rifle. This makes it easier to keep your rifle pointed accurately as you are moving. Typically ‘Holographic Sights’ do not provide any magnification.

A “Holster” is a device used to carry, and quickly access, your Airsoft pistol. There are many types of holsters from hard plastic ‘Friction’ and button release quick holsters to soft material ones that use a strap to secure the pistol. ‘Holsters’ can be attached to your hip, your leg, on your Tactical Vest and anywhere in between. The key is to find one that feel comfortable to you and your play style.

A “HopUp” is the mechanism that provides BBs the backspin needed to travel the required distances. You can adjust your ‘HopUp’ to give your BBs more or less backspin. The goal is to tune this spin so that your BB balances out wind and gravity and travels in a straight line. If you give it too much ‘Hop’ the BBs will float up, too little and it will drop down quickly. A ‘HopUp’ unit is made of a lever arm and bucking that your inner barrel attaches to. The BB gets pushed into the inner barrel, strikes the bucking which is pushed on by the lever arm to give it the required spin. Every Airsoft replica has some type of ‘HopUp’ so check your owners manual, (or with your local Shop) to see how how best to adjust yours for the best range and accuracy possible.

“HPA” is an acronym for ‘High Pressure Air” and in Airsoft refers to any replica that propels its BBS by the use of an external pressurised tank. These systems can be more expensive than a typical AEG but are also far less likely to have mechanical issues. ‘HPA’s can have much higher rates of fire and FPS than standard Airsoft guns so make sure you know the rules at the Field/Event you are attending as there are often restrictions for their use.
