CC Military Surplus emerged from CC Manufacturing, based in Central City, Iowa. CC Manufacturing is a military manufacturing facility offering metal stamping and powder-coating products for U.S. and allied countries worldwide. When President Jerry Michel took over the business in 1987, he provided military supplies to our armed forces efforts. These items include aluminum military tent stakes, Alice pack frames for rucksacks, heavy-duty vehicle jack stands, and conveyor bed systems for C-130 military transport planes.
In 2002, Vice President, Rick Michel, saw the opportunity to expand the wholesale business end to a retail business venture, creating a diverse line of products in addition to surplus items and paintball/airsoft gear. Opening a tiny store in Maplewood, MN, the operation quickly exploded. Expansion after expansion over a short period of time eventually led CC Military Surplus to taking over the entire building located on the corner of White Bear Avenue and County Road C.
